Irene LeBlanc Canfield, M.A., LMHC is a licensed mental health counselor who specializes in marriage counseling, couples therapy, and addiction recovery issues. She has more than 20 years of clinical experience helping adolescents and adults address a wide-range of life adjustment, mental health, and relationship issues.
Irene received the Bachelor of Arts degree from Nicholls State University and the Master of Arts degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in the dually-accredited COAMFTE/CACREP program in marriage and family therapy. She is currently completing work on her Ph.D. degree in counseling at Florida Atlantic University. Irene's approach to helping adults, troubled adolescents, and marriages in crisis has been presented at several professional conferences and workshops. A native of south Louisiana, Irene is the mother of three children.
In addition to scheduled in-office appointments, Irene also provides eCounseling sessions - using sychronous video conferencing (such as "facetime" or "Skype") - with individuals and couples who geographically reside in the states of Florida or Louisiana.
